The only statement in the current Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage is in the Early Learning Goals section within ‘Understanding the World’. It states that, ‘children recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes and schools. They select and use technology for particular purposes’.
Early Years settings requested that the Curriculum Innovation team write some guidance as to how the use of ICT can impact on development in the Early Years. The document will be a work in progress as technology continues to develop and subscribers can download it by logging in and using the menu to the right.
